How to Replace Battery

Step 1: Before removing the old battery, turn off the engine and always keep the spark, flame, and cigarette away from the battery.

Step 2: When removing the old battery, first disconnect the negative terminal to avoid tool short circuit.

Step 3: Clean the corroded parts in the tray and cable clamps before installing the new battery.

Step 4: When installing a new battery, first connect the positive terminal and then check whether the terminal clips fit tightly.

Instruction for Daily Maintenance

Check whether the specific gravity of the battery, terminal, battery base and electrolyte level is in question regularly, and adjust if necessary.

◎ Add water only to distilled water to keep the electrolyte at an appropriate height. Electrolyte levels should be maintained appropriately. (do not expose the movable board to air or overfill) do not use diluted sulfuric acid instead of distilled water. In cold season, when adding distilled water for charging, the electrolyte shall be fully stirred and inflated.

◎ Charging if the engine does not start, the light becomes dim or the horn sounds weak, or the specific gravity of electrolyte is lower than the value, and the battery is under charged, so the voltage stops rising until the free gas of each unit reaches the value, and the specific gravity reaches the value, lasting for a constant value more than a small value.

◎ Keep the battery clean and dry keep the outside of the battery clean and dry. If the terminal parts rust, ignition becomes difficult and charging becomes impossible. If corrosion of the terminal cable is observed, remove the corrosion with water or hot water and dry it. After polishing, spray with high quality protective spray.

Warranty Description

During the use of the FIRSTEK battery, they are all within the scope of the warranty, if the following quality problems occur:

1. Assembly of reverse pole

2. Short circuit through partition

3. End column faulty welding

4. Through wall welding

5. Poor welding of lead parts

6. Leakage caused by poor heat sealing

7. Poor tank forming overflow

8. Missing diaphragm

During the battery trial period, if the following quality problems occur, they are not covered by the warranty:

FIRSTEK car battery is fully charged and can be used directly after purchase. If you buy FIRSTEK MF Series car battery, you don't need to add water. If it's FIRSTEK dry charged series car battery, you need to add water.
