Toxicokinetics(TK), drug safety evaluation

Toxicokinetics is a scientific field that examines the relationship between a compound's dose or concentration and its potential for toxicity. Prisys has extensive experience in all types of toxicity studies and possesses expertise in complex non-clinical study designs.

In toxicokinetic analysis, Prisys' scientists determine the concentrations of a substance at which toxic effects occur. They perform this analysis using bioanalytical data from plasma sample analysis generated toxicology studies, and create a comprehensive quality-assured toxicokinetic (TK) report that is included in the primary study report.

Toxicokinetic parameters are calculated at Prisys using state-of-the-art pharmacokinetic software that is validated and advanced. These calculations determine critical factors such as the time to reach peak plasma concentration (Tmax), peak plasma concentration (Cmax), area under the plasma concentration curve (AUC), and half-life (T1/2). Additionally, Prisys' toxicologists assess factors such as dose proportionality, gender differences, and accumulation.

Prisys' TK analysis provides several advantages, ten years of TK modeling experience in support of toxicology studies for diverse clients and therapeutic areas worldwide, direct collaboration between TK scientists and toxicology study directors, seamless integration with bioanalytical facilities across all Prisys sites, and the ability to generate Standard for Exchange of Nonclinical Data (SEND) data for both TK and bioanalytical data.
